Mrs. Anderson was born in Grand Ridge on December 30, 1922, to John and Bessie (Parsons) Angell. She was employed in the office at Carson Pirie Scott in Ottawa, later as the school secretary at Rutland School. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and Lydia Circle. She married Howard Marion Anderson on April 26, 1947 at Bethel Lutheran Church. He died on May 1, 2004.
She is survived by one daughter, Judy Anderson of Peru; one son, David (Debbie) Anderson of Carbondale; six grandchildren, Thea, Cera, and Colin Porter, Eli, Myles and Allie Anderson, one great-granddaughter, Alexandra Porter, and one sister, Charlene Whittington, of Princeton.
Pallbearers: Thea and Cera Porter, Eli and Myles Anderson, Dennis Weitzel, and Paul Mellentine.
Funeral services: Trinity Lutheran Church, Ottawa, Rev. Garry Briesacher, and the Rev. Gordon Carls, officiating.
Burial: Oakwood Memorial Park, Ottawa.
