Mrs. Henrietta Glover Gentry, of Walterboro, widow of F.D. Gentry, died Tuesday at The Methodist Oaks in Orangeburg. She was 96.
Mrs. Gentry was born August 13, 1908, in Walterboro, a daughter of the late Edmund Carroll Gentry and Lula Henrietta Loper Gentry.
She attended First Baptist Church in Walterboro. She attended Business College in Charleston and was a retired bookkeeper for Sims Toggery.
Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, James D. Gentry and Joyce Neal Gentry of Walterboro, and two grandsons, James D. Gentry, Jr., and J. Neal Gentry.
From a family of ten siblings, she is survived by a sister, Anne Glover Durkin of Fairfield, CT, also a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, at the graveside in Live Oak Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Lee Cothran, and directed by PARKER-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m., Friday, at the Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul St., Walterboro.
