Jerusha LeFever was the wife of Gillum (or Gilmore) LeFever. They were married December 30, 1849 in Lawrence County, AL. In the 1900 census of Morgan County, AL Mrs. LeFever states that her father was born in Pennsylvania and her mother in North Carolina.

In some records the surname is given as LaFavor. Jerusha (sometimes spelled Jerucia) LeFever was the mother of Darthula LeFever Alexander as evidenced by her grave marker. Other known children were: Peter F. b. 1857 and married Julia M. Gailey September 12, 1875 in Lawrence County, AL; Ellen F. b. 1858; Thomas B. b. 1861 and Julian b. 1866. The children were all born in Alabama, probably in Lawrence County.
