Arthur is the son of George Washington & Sarah Elizabeth (Camp) Trammel. He married Mary Ellen Jackson.

3/6/1952-Tuttle Times:
A.A. Trammel, 73, who has been in failing health for some time, passed away Wednesday night. He has been a resident of Tuttle for many years. He is survived by his wife, Mary of Tuttle, 3 sons, Russel of Long Beach, Calif, Harold of Oklahoma City, & Lantoine of Independence, MO. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday at the Church of Christ in Tuttle with Bro E.C. Horton officiating. Sowers funeral home are in charge of arrangements with burial at Fairview.

3/13/1952:
Last rites were held Saturday at the Church of Christ for A.A. Trammel, 73, who succumbed March 5 at his home in Tuttle. He had been ill several weeks. He had lived in Grady county since 1923 and at his present home in Tuttle since 1943. He was a member of the First Christian church in Tuttle. E.C. Horton, Harry T. Jones, & P.E.
Johnson conducted the service. A mixed choir provided the music. Pallbearers were: Troy Smith of Kansas, Doris Givens of Lawton, Orbie Trammel of Oklahoma City, Wilford Trammel of Tuttle, Terrel Trammel of El Reno, & George Mefford of Eldorado, OK. Burial was at the Fairview cemetery, east of Noble, under the direction of the Sowers funeral home.

A.A. Trammel was born 11/7/1878 in Collins county, TX and departed this life 3/5/1952, at his home in Tuttle. His parents were George & Sarah Elizabeth Trammel. The family moved from Texas to Oklahoma in 1889 and settled east of Noble in Cleveland county when he was 18 yrs old. On Dec 1900, Mr Trammel was married to miss Mary E. Jackson. They made their home in Oklahoma with the exception of 5 years spent in Arkansas. Mr & Mrs Trammel moved to Grady county in 1923. They had 5 sons, one son died in infancy and another son, Jack, died 3/13/1945. Survivors, besides his wife and sons, are: 2 grandchildren, Royce & Sue Trammel of Oklahoma City, 2 brothers, G.M. of El Reno, & J.C. of Tuttle, 4 sisters, Mrs Gene Smith of Bethany, Mrs M.E. Givens of Lawton, Mrs E.H.(Beatrice) Mefford of Gould, & Mrs Ira Albright of Chickasha.
