Allen "Al" Branch Jr., 44, formerly of the Hortense Community, died unexpectedly early Sunday morning (Nov. 14, 2004).
He was born in Dougherty County to the late Allen Sr. and Joyce Strenth Branch. His only child, Rodney Allen Branch, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his mother, Joyce Branch of Albany; two sisters, Donna Gleaton (Toney) of Albany and Barbara Brooks (Russell) of Worth County; three grandchildren, Austen, Cody, and Lexie Branch of Hortense; one nephew, Kyle Hall of Albany; three step-nieces, Leslie and Shawna Brooks of Worth County and Brittany Gleaton of Albany; one step-nephew, Toney Gleaton Jr. of Albany and numerous aunts and uncles.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Satilla Cemetery in Hortense. Visitation will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9. Joel Chambless Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
