Son of Franklin Wells Buntin and Minnie Ellen Brannan.


Earl G. Buntin, a retiree of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, died Monday at the family home.

Buntin, 82, was a native of Pansy, Ala., and a longtime Mobile resident.

Survivors include three daughters, Carol Serrell, Melissa Parker and Cheryl Dees, all of Mobile; two sons, Michael Buntin of Mobile and Buford Buntin of California; two sisters, Evelyn Prine and Elizabeth Cheeseman, both of Mobile; two brothers, Brannan Woodham and Sam Woodham, both of Mobile; and six grandchildren. Graveside service are set for 1 p.m. today in Pine Crest Cemetery with Roche-Belmany-Herrington Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
