Susan E. McGough, 61, of Mt. Gretna, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, in the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of Richard L. McGough II to whom she was married for 41 years. She was born in Reading on July 15, 1947, daughter of the late Richard W. and Elizabeth Jacobs Deck. She was a member of Donegal Presbyterian Church, Mt. Joy, and previously had been a member of Mt. Gretna United Methodist Church. She was known for her baking and help with special needs children. She graduated from Ohio State University in 1970 and was a member of the Lebanon County Home Economics Assoc. Surviving in addition to her husband are sons, Dr. Richard L. McGough III and wife Tricia, Pittsburgh; Scott D. McGough and wife Jodi, Elizabethtown; Matthew J. McGough and wife Amy, Mt. Joy; 5 grandchildren; and a brother, William Deck and wife Dee, Reading. Funeral services Thursday, January 29, 2009, at 11:00 AM at Donegal Presbyterian Church, Mt. Joy. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening 7 to 9 PM in the Rohland Funeral Home, Inc., 5th & Cumberland St., Lebanon, and Thursday 10:30 AM to time of service at the church. A private interment will be made in the Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Stouchsburg. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to her church at 1891 Donegal Springs Rd., Mt. Joy, PA 17552.
