Louvenia A. (Agnes) Hilbrecht, 82, of Montpelier, Ohio, and formerly of Glade Hill, Va., departed her earthly home Friday, January 30, 2009. She was born June 1, 1926, a daughter of the late Doc T. and Nannie Grace Perdue Arrington. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Perdue, who was killed in combat during World War II; her second husband, James Mears; three brothers; and one sister; and one greatgrandson, Kyle Kozlowski. Agnes retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. After retirement, she moved back to Glade Hill where she lived near her mother for several years before moving to Pioneer, Ohio, to be near her daughters and their families. She is survived by her special cat, Precious Sweetie; daughters and son-in-law, Paula (Thomas) Belau with whom she made her home, and JoAnn Swirles; seven grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren; brothers and sisters, Frank Arrington, Fred M. (Carol) Arrington, Edna Fitzgerald, Marie (Robert) Dalton, Natalie (Jay) Silvercloud; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held in Montpelier, Ohio for family and friends there. Funeral services will then be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2009. Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2009, in the ArringtonPerdue Family Cemetery, Glade Hill. The family request that no food be sent.
