"Helaire Krebs

Scranton, Miss., Sept. 7 - Mr. Helaire Krebs, one of the most prominent citizens
of Jackson county, died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. A. Sarrazin, at 3 a.m., aged 81 years and 3 months. Mr. Krebs was a native of Jackson County, and
was at one time the most prominent merchant in this section, but retired many years ago. He was a man of sterling honesty and integrity and numbers among his
friends the entire community. He leaves nine children, all grown, besides
numerous grandchildren, to mourn his loss. He will be buried to-morrow at the
Catholic cemetery at Pascagonia."
