Mrs. Emily Phelps, daughter of Mrs. H. L. and the late Howard Hutchison of New Kensington, died Saturday (Feb. 18, 1961) at C. Howard Marcy Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a heart condition. Mrs. Phelps was born Nov. 27, 1920, in Kittanning. She was a granddaughter of the late Mary Lasher. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Robert and Garry; her mother, Mrs. H. L. Hutchison of Orrstown; four sisters, Mrs. Avanell Swartz of Orrstown, Mrs. Helen Allen of Chicago, Mrs. Thelma Shearer of Shippensburg, Mrs. Delores Robinson of New Cumberland and a brother Kenneth of Pitcairn. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Pearce and Son funeral home, Pitcairn. Interment took place in Greenwood cemetery, New Kensington.
