Cecil Beeson, 83, died Oct. 30, 2003, at his home near East Prairie.
Born April 18, 1920, in Hattieville, AR, son of the late Samuel Claude and Annie Tollison Beeson, he was a member of Barnes Ridge Baptist Church, New Madrid Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite. He served with the Army Air Corps during World War II and was a retired farmer.
On Feb. 25, 1940, he married Lila Sutton who preceded him in death on July 10, 2002.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Sherri Beeson and Cleo and Peggy Beeson; one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Ernest Kight; two sisters, Lucille Cole, and Johnny McVay; eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and four sisters also preceded him in death.
Visitation was held at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services were scheduled. The Rev. Ernest Kight, pastor of Wyndrock Baptist Church of Abilene, officiated.
Full military graveside honors were conducted at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
