Marion County Patriot:
The hearts of countless friends and loved ones were saddened when it was known that on the evening of Feb. 17th, the spirit of Mrs. Mae Williams Bland, age 48 was carried home to God. At the time of her death she was living in Miami, Fla. where on Sunday previous to her passing she suffered a stroke of paralysis. Her death followed at a Miami hospital on Wednesday. Mrs. Bland was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Bartow Williams, prominent citizens of this county and was married to J. T. Bland, also of this county, 30 years ago.
Friends of Mr. & Mrs. W .T. Miller sympathize with them in the death of their seven weeks old son, James on Feb. 16. Funeral services and interment were held at Union church, Tuesday. From John Adams [email protected]
