She was born on August 29, 1918 in Winchester, to Benjamin Franklin and Ida (Morrical) Green.
Helen was a homemaker and graduated from Lincoln High. She was an active member of Jefferson Home Ec Club. Helen attended the Winchester Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and her family.
Helen is survived by two daughters, LaDonna F. (John) Rule of Westfield, IN, and Mary Ann (Curtis J.) Butcher of Carmel, IN; four granddaughters, Renee Rule of Fishers, IN, Regina (Brent) Rice of Carmel, IN, Rebekka (Ron) Lawson, of Fishers, IN, and Lora Ann Butcher of Carmel, IN; a grandson, Jason R. Butcher of Carmel, IN; seven great grandchildren, John Ryan Hesch, Christopher Hesch, Jessica Hesch, Chelsea Blow, Brian Rice, Aaron Lawson, and Nicholas Lawson; and two great great grandchildren, Rainer Hesch and Sophia Hesch.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert D. Hiatt who passed away November 4, 1999; four brothers, Everett Green, Gail Green, Raymond Morrical, and Walter Adrian Green; and a sister Mary Pursley.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, with Rev. Cecil Watson officiating. Burial will follow at the Lawndale Cemetery in Ridgeville, IN.
