Nathan Hammon deserted his first family around 1926 and later assumed the name of Albert Lewis.
As Albert Lewis he worked for the railroad and lived in the Cedar Rapids/Marion area.
He is buried as Albert Lewis, but did acknowledge is son Alvin Hammond and his Hammond siblings in his obituary.
