Mr. Hiatt was born in North Carolina and was a retired painter from Naval Air Rework Facility after 33 years of service.
The widower of Irene B. Hiatt, he is survived by a daughter, Linda H. Kinch and her husband, Ralph, of Fredericksburg, Va.; two brothers, Chuck Hiatt of Raleigh, N.C., and Ike Hiatt of Archdale, N.C.; two grandchildren, Gene L. Kinch of Fredericksburg and Cindy K. Wargo of Falls Church, Va.; a great-grandson, Colin C. Wargo of Falls Church; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at noon Monday at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel.
