On the 389th Bomb Group Missing Aircrew Report Fate of Crew Summary Sgt. Bryson is listed as MIA/Declared dead

From FAG #46869838
I would only suggest adding a note clarifying that the death date originally listed by the US Veterans Affairs Office (when they created this memorial) is the date his plane was shot down, NOT the actual date of his death, which is still unknown. He was one of two crew members taken prisoner by the Germans and placed into a POW camp (which one is still unknown) where he died (date still unknown).
I've attached a photo of the form confirming that his body was returned from the cemetery at Saint Andre in France... & was buried 10 May 1950 in this shared grave at Zachary Taylor National Cemetery.

This observer speculates the possibility that Sgt. Bryson was taken alive but not sent to POW camp. He may have died of injuries/wounds in civilian control.
