Limmine and Jewel are buried in the only Mausoleum in Clarkson Cemetery. He did not want to be buried "in the ground" because he saw so many coffins floating down the Mississippi River in the Great Flood of 1927, when they lived in Greenwood, MS.

JOE L. HARRISON
Greenwood --- Joe Lemmie Harrison, 66, died Sunday, August 8, at the Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, August 10 at 2 p.m. at Wilson and Knight Chapel. Burial was in Clarkson Cemetery, near Eupora.
Mr. Harrison was born in Eupora and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Harrison had owned and operated the Butane Gas Co. here until his retirement, and was a cattle farmer. He was a resident here for 45 years, and was a member of the Woodman of the World, and the Black Angus Cattlemen's Assn. He bred and sold Palomino horses, and was a member of the American Saddle Horse Assn.
Mr. Harrison is survived by his widow, Mrs. Jewel Ruff Harrison; one daughter, Mrs. Joe D. Ray of Hattiesburg; one brother, Alton Harrison of Eupora; four sisters, Mrs. L.B. Carwyle of Eupora; Mrs. Beulah Morgan and Mrs. Iris Rodgers, both of Tutwiler and Mrs. Lorena Rodgers of Jackson; and two grandchildren.
