PLATTSBURGH -- Mrs. Loretta Drollette, 84, of Oak Street, passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Mooers Forks on Aug. 17, 1924, daughter of the late Delinor and Rose (Young) Favreau.
Loretta was a homemaker; she was a member of the Champlain Quilter's Guild and Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She made baby hats for newborn children at CVPH Medical Center and quilts for victims of domestic violence. Loretta also made hats and mittens at Christmas time for the Christmas Bureau. She was a member of St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh.
Loretta is survived by eight children, Anthony "Tony" Drollette and his wife, Tami of Plattsburgh, Bunny Cork and her husband, Jerry of Plattsburgh, John Drollette and his wife, Donna of Plattsburgh, Paul Drollette and his fiancée, Sandra Bazzano of Peru, Chuck Drollette of Cocoa, Fla., Rick Drollette of Melbourne, Fla., Loretta Drollette of Plattsburgh, Patricia Simpson of Plattsburgh; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Loretta was predeceased by her daughter, Rose Williams; her sons, Michael Drollette and Rocky Drollette; and several brothers and sisters.
Calling hours will be Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at 11 a.m. from St. Peter's Church, 114 Cornelia St., Plattsburgh. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
