Davenport resident Maxine Jane Waters died Friday at her home. She was 80. She was born April 15, 1919 in Belle Plaine, Kansas to James Pat and Olive Blanche Robbins Gunn.

She married E. E. "Sam" Waters in Davenport on August 24, 1946 and taught school in the Davenport School System for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Davenport, Retired Teachers of Lincoln County, Davenport School Foundation and Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority.

Survivors include her husband, E.E. "Sam" Waters of the home, son, James A. Waters of Ada, daughter, Jill Ann Waters of Oklahoma City, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one uncle.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Davenport with the Rev. Michael Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at the Davenport Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Chandler.

Memorials may be made to the Davenport School Foundation or the First Baptist Church of Davenport or the South Side Hospice of Oklahoma City.
