Lester F. Addis, 80
ZANESVILLE -- Lester Francis Addis, 80, died at 4:02 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2003, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born Aug. 21, 1922, in Zanesville, son of the late Charles and Ada (Madden) Addis. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a terminal manager for McGraw Edison.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Betty Morgan Addis three sons and daughters-in-law, Rick (Karen) Addis of Zanesville, Don (Rita) Addis of Shelbyville, Ind. and Scott (Brandi) Addis of Springfield two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl (Abe) Tignor of Zanesville and Kathy (Bill) Taisey of Dresden two brothers and sisters-in-law, George (Margie) Addis of Caldwell and Jerry (Sheila) Addis of Zanesville one brother-in-law, John Durant of Zanesville nine grandchildren, Craig and Todd Tignor, Melissa Odlivak, Troy Taisey, Cale, Jade, Tony, Brandon and Jared Addis and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Bill Addis and two sisters, Louella Addis and Virginia Durant.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, at The Snouffer Funeral Home, 1150 W. Military Road, Zanesville.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Russell White officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park, with military honors by the George Selsam VFW 1058.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care, 713 Forrest Ave., Zanesville, OH 43701.
