Amanda Talbert was the daughter of Jonathan Bull Talbert and Esther Hart. The family relocated to Jefferson County, Iowa. Amanda married David Emry on Feb. 17, 1855 near Pleasant Plain, Jefferson County, Iowa.

Together David and Amanda were parents of 13 children. See David Emry entry for full list of the children.

Descendents of children Rachel and James (separately, with spouses) married into the family tree of this contributor, which is why the interest in this Emry family.
