Lovica (aka Louisa/Lovisa) was born about 1813 in Eden Vermont, the daughter of Charles and Sarah (aka Sally) Whittemore.
She married Moses Mason (his 2nd wife) in Eden Vermont on Oct 26, 1834.
They had 5 known children:
1. Martha E born Oct 19, 1836, Eden Vt
2. Susan A, born Sept 17, 1840, Eden Vt
3. Emiline Lucy, born April 4 1847, Eden Vt, married Charles Thompson.
4. Harrison (Harry H) born June 3 1847, Eden Vt, removed to NH. Married Mary B Cheever 18 November 1870 Hardwick, Lamoille Co., Vermont, they had a daughter Ida Mary born about 1876 in Vermont.
5. Homer born about 1855, Vermont.
Moses and family were residing in Eden on Sept 17, 1850 when the census was taken.. Only the 4 oldest children listed at this time. Moses was shown as a Miller with a property value of $4000.
Moses and Louisa/Lovisa appear in the 1860 census (dated July 28th 1860) of Craftsbury with all the children shown above. Moses was shown as a farmer with a property value of $3500. Everyone in household was said to be born in Vermont.
Moses died on July 27, 1877 (his Cause of death: injuries from falling in Morristown, Vermont.) He is buried near a daughter and his brother and parents in Craftsbury Common Cemetery.
