Virginia Lucille Reed, 79, of Columbia, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001, at the Columbia Regional Hospital.
Services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at the First Assembly of God Church, 1100 N. Seventh St., with the Rev. Cliff Cato officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Reed was born Nov. 26, 1921, in Boone County to Feildon E. Level and Genevia Sims Level.

She married Howard D. Reed, and he survives.

Mrs. Reed was formerly employed at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She attended Searcy School in Boone County.

Survivors also include two sons, Bobby Reed of Hallsville and Eugene Reed of Columbia; three daughters, Gloria Ewens of Harrisburg, Sharon Bosch and Ruth A. Shaon, both of Columbia; one sister, Barbara Sublett of Harrisburg; 16 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, one brother and two sisters.

Arrangements are under the direction of Warren Funeral Chapel, 10 N. Fourth St.
