Funeral services were conducted Sunday for Mrs. Alceba North, widow of Charles North, at 2 o'clock from the home of her son, Erwin, near Fenwick and at 2:30 o'clock form the Baptist church at Palo where she had been a member. Rev. Paul Stewart, pastor of the Church of Christ of Ionia, officiated. Interment at Palo cemetery.
Mrs. North, 77 years old, was born two and one half miles northeast of Palo where she had spent the greater part of her life. Mr. North's death occurred about 14 years ago and following his death she moved into Palo where she made her home until about two years ago, since then sh has spent her time with her children.
She had been in poor health for two or three years but able to be up until two weeks ago she was taken ill and confined to her bed.
Surviving are her children Mrs. Estella Connor, of Grand Rapids; Mrs. Grace Dickinson of Ronald township; Mrs. Mildred Higbee of Ionia; Erwin of Fenwick and Ray of East Bushnell. One son, Howard died when young.
