On the evening of the 3d, Nellie Alberta, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Metcalf, aged seven years, nine months and eight days.
This death was rendered doubly sad from the fact that it was the result of a distressing accident. Sunday evening the litle girl was playing about the stairs at the family residence, and it is supposed she fell over the bannister
to the floor. No one was near at the time, and the fall rendered her unconscious. In this state she continued till 10 p.m. Monday, when death conveyed her to a brighter and better world.
Little Nellie was a bright child,a favorite with all, and the sorrow caused by her death time only can efface. The family on whom falls the burden of this sorrow is the subject of heartfelt sympathy. The funeral was held this morning at the Catholic church.
