Walter Walden, 82, died July 4, 1961 at John Warner Hospital, Clinton. Funeral services were held at Stensel's Funeral Home with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery.
He was born February 3, 1879 the s/o Franklin and Elisa Claspy Walden. He married Nellie Jane Hadfield on December 6, 1905 in Farmer City. She preceded him in death on March 7, 1923. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Brownlee of this city; three sons: Merle of McLean; Harry C. of St Paul MN; and Walter H. of St Louis MO. Also nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
