Shirley Vern Reynolds, 72, of Colmesneil, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008 at the Woodville Health & Rehab Center. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with burial in Colmesneil Cemetery. Vern was born August 18, 1936 to Dave Crockett & Cleo Berta Adkins Howard in San Augustine, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Tyler County and had worked as medication aide at Woodville Convalescent Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tony Reynolds; her daughter, Brenda Punk Reynolds and her son, David Maurice Reynolds. She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law, Sandra & Robert Best and Vicky Seagroves all of Colmesneil and Sherry & Billy Westbrook of Kennard; sons & daughters-in-law, Tommy & Cecelia Reynolds and David & Lori Reynolds all of Colmesneil; sister, Dorothy Lawson of Vidor; fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
