John G. Adcock, 67 of Las Cruces, NM died Monday, December 27, 2004 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born August 2, 1936 in Minden Louisiana to George and Mattie Lee Adcock. Mr. Adcock was a veteran of the US Army where he served his country honorably, and was also an educator in the school systems.

He was survived by his wife Dottie Adcock of the family home; sons Ken Adcock and his wife Cindy of Las Cruces and Charles Adcock and his wife Shannon of Allen, TX; brother Ray Adcock of Monroe, LA and by his four grandchildren Melissa, Shaun, Alyssa and Avery. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother Dr. George A. Adcock Jr.

Funeral Services were held at First Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Qualls officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Adcock was my brother's, sister's, and my Algebra teacher at Alameda Jr. High in the early and mid-70's. He was a wonderful man (even though I never did understand algebra, he tried :) Rest in peace dear man.
