Paul Richard Funk, 87, formerly of Mulvane, Wichita and Great Bend, retired owner-operator of Paul's Carry Out, former owner-operator of Gambles retail store, Firestone automotive stores, Phillips 66 and Deep Rock filling stations, former farmer, died Wednesday, July 7, 1999. Service 2 p.m. Monday, Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors: wife, Ida; son, Kenneth of Hays; daughters, Carolyn Kisner of Wichita, Beverly McCormick of Marshfield, Mo.; stepson, Richard Tieperman of Winfield; stepdaughters, Sheryl Skipper of Garland, Texas, Cynthia Maillon of Winfield; brothers, Raymond, Leonard, both of Galatia; sister, Clara Baker of Hillsboro; 19 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.

Memorial has been established with Trinity Lutheran Church. Swisher-Taylor & Morris Funeral Home. (Wichita Eagle, July 9, 1999)
