Mrs. Allen was born October 27, 1889 near Utica, and died July 17, 1969, at the Memorial Hospital, Seward. Her husband, Bert, preceded her in death in December 1959.
On October 27, 1889, Ines was born to Sam and Ella White, a pioneer family in Seward County. She was graduated from York High School and taught for several terms at Pleasant, Dale, Exeter and York schools.
She married Bert Allen of York Nov. 24, 1909. The couple lived at Exeter, Grand Island, Lincoln and Seward and spent many summers in Estes Park, Colo.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen observed their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1959, shortly before Mr. Allen's death.
Mrs. Allen was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Women's Society of Christian Service.
Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Ella Mae Mercer, Seward, and Mrs. Ann Sampson, Utica; and several nieces and nephews.
