William is the son of Lowery Edward and Jennie Dance Goldsborough. He married Bernadine Ethel Darnell on Mar. 28, 1931 in Mulberry Grove, IL.

Harold Goldsborough, 68, of Browns-town died 1:45 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 13, 1979) in Fayette County Hospital, Vandalia. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in' Liberty Christian Church, near Brownstown, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Claggett Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials: Fayette County Hospital special care unit.
Mr. Goldsborough was born near Brownstown, son of Jacob and Jennie Goldsborough. He was a member, of Liberty Christian Church and had been Sefton Township road commissioner for 18 years. He married Bernadine Darnell in 1931.
Surviving are his wife; son, Ronald of Decatur; daughter, Mrs.. Harold (Eleanor) Belcher of Quincy, Ind.; brother, Edward of Brownstown; sisters, Mrs. Nona Reeves of Washington, Iowa; Mrs. Freida Radliff, Mrs. Kathryn Tedrick and Mrs. Rosalyn Davis, all of Vandalia; Mrs. Marilyn Buzzard of Brownstown; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
