Mima Lucille Brown Bass honored us with her presence on September 1, 1916. On July 31, 2006 she went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ and her beloved husband, Elisha Perry Bass, who preceded her in death on June 3, 1999.

Mima was born in Montgomery, Alabama to Rev. Arthur and Maggie Salery. After the Salerys came to California, Mima then met Elisha where they joined each other in holy matrimony on July 4, 1947.

Being a wonderful Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, Great Grandma, Great Great Grandma, Great great great grandma were one of her admirations in her life, while being a great Mother and friend to all who knew her. She was also the World's Greatest COOK!

She leaves behind 10 children: Thomas, Glenn, Charlie, Lavinia, Robert, Burnes, Angela, Gloria, Mama Jr., and Micheal. She was preceded in death by a daughter Patricia. She is also survived by 3 sisters Elizabeth Smith, Lavongia Slaton, and Mary Wiggins, and one brother James Salery, 38 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, many great great grandchildren and many many great great great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Thursday evening August 3rd from 5-8 pm in the Chapel of the Brusie Funeral Home in Chico, CA, followed by a celebration of her life Saturday August 5th, 2006 at the 1st Church of God and Christ Holiness in Merced, CA at 11 am. Burial will be at the Merced Cemetery.

Anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in her name may do so at the visitation on Thursday.
