This story begins in 1850 on board an immigration boat by the name of Vessel "Bark Solan" arriving in Galveston, Texas, November 30, 1850, from Bremen, Germany. The passenger list for this arrival included the Christian Moehrig family of five: Christian age 43, wife Christiana age 42, daughter Anna Maria Sophia age 9 years, sons Christian, Jr. age 7 years, and Fritz Fredrich age 4 years. The name on the Vessel "Bark Solan" manifest was spelled Mohrig, without the "e" which was added later. Information on the gravestone of Mary (Anna Sophia Maria Moehrig) Krueger lists her birth date as 1838, however the records of the boat on which she came to America in 1850, shows her age as nine years when the voyage started. That would have made her birth year as 1841, which is more accurate. To the marriage of Conrad and Mary, eight children were born:
First: Ferdnand Fritz Krueger, born October 7, 1858; married Anna Weiss 1891. He died November 27, 1904.
Second: Mary Marie Krueger, born 1861; married William R. Whisenant June 28, 1883. She died March 29, 1929. (Note: 2 Kruegers married 2 Whisenants.)
Third: Emma Krueger, born 1864; married Fred Twiefel 1883. Emma died September 1902.
Fourth: William R, Krueger, born August 29th, 1867; married Nannie Whisenant 1900.
Fifth: Auguste Gustav Krueger, born December 1871, married Anna Heime; died May 13, 1934.
Sixth: Anna Krueger, born January 7, 1875, married Wilhelm Foester; second marriage was to H. E. Blanchette who died July 9, 1894.
Seventh: Adolph Krueger, born 1876, married Emma Alves; died April 30, 1940.
Eighth: Louis J.G. Krueger, born July 25, 1877. He never married. Louis died October 22, 1922 and is buried beside his parents in Kyle Cemetery, Kyle, Texas.

Conrad and Anna Maria Sophia, later known as Mary, enjoyed a farm between San Marcos and Kyle; the place became known as the "Krueger Ranch". Anna Maria "Mary" Sophia Moehrig Krueger died March 29, 1920. They are buried in Kyle Cemetery, outside Kyle, Texas.
