Mrs. Catherine Allen
Wife of John Allen, died at 3:30 o'clock this morning at her home, 518 Fourth avenue, Juniata, following several hours' illness of apoplexy.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Sharrah and was born in Bald Eagle valley, Feb. 27, 1870. She is survived by the husband, one son, Isaac, at home and these daughters; Mrs. John McCready, Philipsburg; Mrs. John Ellis, Barnesboro: Mrs. A.J. Lewis, Philadelphia; Mrs. M.B. Davis, New Jersey; Mrs. A.B. Carles, Mrs. G.D. Hyssong and Mrs. Franklin Long, all of this city; Miss Laura of New York city and Miss Agnes of Philadelphia.
There are twenty one grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters; William Sharrah of East Altoona, Sheridan Sharrah, of McCartney, Clearfield county; Mrs. Cyrus Bathurst, Juniata; Mrs. Ella Cramer, Stroudsburg; Mrs. Anna Sharrah, Osceola and Mrs. Esther Coder, Madera.
Mrs. Allen was a member of the First Methodist church of Juniata. Funeral services will be held at the home on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in charge of Rev. W.W. Banks.
Interment will be made in Greenwood cemetery.
