Madeline (Maddy) Castelli, age 62, of Trumbull, CT. entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family and friends on Wednesday, March 3, 2004, following a valiant 20 year battle with cancer. She was born in Redding, PA on December 10, 1941, raised in Brooklyn, NY and was a Trumbull resident for 28 years. She was a teacher, who touched many lives with her generous and ebullient spirit. A dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Maddy will be sorely missed by all that were fortunate enough to have known her. She was a natural social director, planning activities and events for friends and her beloved cancer support groups. She made many new friends at Concepts and working for the Connectcut Post. Some of Maddy's favorite things were dining out, talking, shopping, costume jewelry, and anything and everything purple. Survivors include her husband, Vincent James Castelli III of Trumbull; a daughter, Jodianne Hernandez and her Husband Rafael; a son, Vincent James Castelli IV and his fiance Marci Morano; a brother, Vincent Capuano and his wife Terri; three grandchildren, Anthony, Rafael Jr, and Ashley. She is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends. She was predeceased by her parents; Vincent and Annette Pierce Capuano. Friends are invited to meet directly in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave, Trumbull on Monday, March 8, 2004 at 10:00 am for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery of Easton. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 2-5 pm and Sunday from 4-7 pm at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
