My grandfather, Fred Malaterre, was a military paratrooper and professional boxer in his younger years. Much loved father, husband, and brother. He is missed.

Fred and his younger brother, Walter Malaterre, died in a natural gas explosion and subsequent house fire at Fred's house in Belcourt.
