Funeral services were conducted for James Sidney Hobbs, 35, from Bethlehem Baptist Church. Hobbs died Thursday, May 22, 1986, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center from gunshot wounds.

Services were preached by the Rev. Jimmie Daniels and burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery. Hobbs was a Winona native and resident.

He is survived by his parents, Willie and Floydia Hobbs, his wife, Debra Crouch Hobbs of Winona, three sons, James A. Hobbs, Christopher Hobbs and Josuah James Hobbs, of Winona, a step-son Edward Otis Crouch, four sisters, Dorothy McChriston, Yvonne Hobbs and Clarastine Knight, all of Winona, and Hazel Hearn of Carrollton, and four brothers, Ricky Hobbs and Freddie Hobbs, both of Winona, and Willie Hobbs, Jr. and Danny Hobbs, both of Chicago.

Pallbearers were L.B. Daniel, Earl Daniel, Floyd Daniel, Henry Love, Bernaid Golman, and Man Bluiett. Powell and Beck Mortuary handled arrangements.
