William "Bill" Alber of Blue Hill died Saturday Jan. 25, 1992 at the Webster County Hospital in Red Cloud, Ne.
Services are Tuesday at 2pm at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Blue Hill with the Rev. D. Peter Fribert officiating. Burial will be in the Blue Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Alber was born July 28, 1898, at Spring Ranch, in Clay County Nebraska. He married Marie Meentz June 14, 1922. They lived in Elm Creek and Catherton Townships before moving to Blue Hill in 1963.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Blue Hill.
Survivors are his wife, Marie, one daughter, Viola Heinrich of Ayr, three sons, Don of Doniphan, Harold of Bladen and Lester of Kansas City, Mo. Four sisters, Cora Benker and Elizabeth Bangert, both of Blue Hill, Rose Bangert of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Pearl Thompson of Guide Rock, Three brothers, Henry and Adolph both of Blue Hill and Roy of Hastings. He has 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
