Crystal F. Rudy

Crystal F. Rudy, age 21, of Conard Road, Lampeter, went home to be with her Lord and grandfathers following a tragic auto accident in Derry Township, Dauphin County on Friday evening.

Born in Lancaster she was the loving daughter of her father and step-mother, Glenn E. and Mary Rudy of Lampeter and her mother Joanne Tingue Rudy of Zebulon, NC. Crystal was a strong and vibrant person, full of life and mentored as a big sister to all she met. She always had open arms and an open heart. She loved shopping, animals, her pets, and most of all her family and friends. She always looked forward to family gatherings.

Crystal was a 2005 graduate of Lampeter Strasburg High School and Mt. Joy Vo-Tech where she was actively involved with Skills USA and web design. Following graduation, she furthered her education at Bradley Academy of Visual Arts, York, where she graduated in 2007. She was employed as a free lance web designer and also worked at Papa Dino's.

Surviving beside her father, step mother, and mother are her sisters, Sheree A. married to Mike Beveridge of Corrituck, NC, Meagen M. Rudy, Nicole M. Riker both of Lampeter; a brother Douglas Riker of Lampeter; a nephew Trey K. Beveridge; a paternal grandmother Zana Rudy of Refton; and a maternal grandmother Jean Tinge of NC.

Funeral services will be held from the Refton Brethren in Christ Church, 110 Church Road, Refton, PA on Friday at 11:00AM with Pastor Mike Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in New Providence Mennonite Cemetery. All viewings will be held at the church, the first one on Wednesday from 6:30-9:00PM and again on Friday from 10:00AM until the time of service. Those who desire may make contributions in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive Lancaster, PA 17603 or to National Autism Association of PA, 522 Hackman Road, Lititz, PA 17543-0725.
