Veteran of World War II. Served on the Admirable Class minesweeper the USS Reform (AM-286) in the Pacific. USS Reform left Los Angeles Harbor bound for Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on April 12, 1945, the day that President Franklin Roosevelt died.

Born at 6:16pm at Hollywood Hospital, Los Angeles.

Graduate of Beverly Hills High School in 1944.

Graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with degree in Aeronautical Engineering in 1951.

Married Albertine James on July 11, 1953 at All Saint's Episcopal Church in Beverly Hills. Reception at the home of the brides parents at 332 South Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

Worked for Lockheed from 1952 - 1953.
Worked for Douglas Aircraft from 1953 until merger with McDonnell Douglas and then with McDonnell Douglas until his retirement in 1984. Worked at plants in Santa Monica, Huntington Beach and Long Beach.

Brother of Alexander Stewart Bellows, Jane Dustin Bellows King & Eleanor Bellows DeVore.

Grandson of Alexander Stewart Jr. & Mary Mitchell Stewart as well as Perry Eugene Bellows & Carrie Dustin Bellows

A 6th great-grandson of Hannah Emerson Dustin of Haverhill, Massachusetts fame.
