STEPHENS, Mrs. MARY O. – 81, Marshes Siding, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, in Sunrise Manor Nursing Home, Somerset after a lingering illness. The deceased a daughter of the late ELISHA WILSON and REBECCA SUMNER WILSON, was born in Whitley County, March 4, 1891.

She was a lifelong resident of McCreary County, a housewife and a member of the Lower Hickory Grove Baptist Church.

She was first married to S. J. RICHARDSON, who preceded her in death. She married a second time to S. C. STEPHENS and he also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, CHARLES RICHARDSON, Cincinnati, Ohio, and LEE RICHARDSON, a resident of California; four daughters, Mrs. ARTIE RANDOPH, E. Gary, Ind.; Mrs. TAVEY STEPHENS and Mrs. ALICE GARLAND, both of Pine Knot, and Mrs. OPAL KING, Marshes Siding; two brothers, E. L. WILSON, Pine Knot, and JIM PRIVETT, Williamsburg; two sisters, Mrs LINDA BALL, Emilyn; and ROSE RICHMOND, Williamsburg; 41 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were four sons and two daughters.

Funeral services were held Friday in Lower Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Rev. ALBERT CHITWOOD and Rev. CHARLIE TAYLOR officiating. Burial was in the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were RAYMOND RANDOLPH, ELVIS STEPHENS, ARTHUR RICHARDSON, PRESTON RICHARDSON, DELMER CLARK and BOBBY RICHARDSON. McCreary County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements
