Amanda Chupp was born August 12, 1918 to Ben and Katie (Mast) Troyer in Sumner County, Kans. Following a lengthy illness, Amanda left this earth for her heavenly home on August 4, 2008 at the AVRMC Nursing Care Center in La Junta. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 7th in the afternoon at the Zion Mennonite Church in Pryor, Okla. with burial to follow service in the church cemetery. A memorial service is planned for a later date in La Junta to celebrate her life.
Amanda is survived by: daughter Mary Yoder of La Junta; son, Bill (Edith) Chupp of Chouteau, Okla.; daughter Ruby (Jim) Graber of Newton, Kan.; and a special "son," Clinton Bridge of Stuarts Draft, Va.; grandchildren, Dr. Elizabeth Yoder and Thomas Abraham, Mark (Adriana) Yoder, and David Yoder, Troy Graber and Sara Graber, Paul (Kim) Rasberry, Bill Rasberry, James A. "Spook" (Becky) Rasberry; great-grandchildren, Victoria and Roman Yoder, Tanya, Jamie, Brandy and Cody Chase Rasberry; Hunter and Leah Rasberry, Nykole, Christopher and Cody Rasberry, in addition to 5 great-great grandchildren, one sister-in-law Fannie Miller and numerous nieces and nephews.
Amanda was preceded in death by children Levi and Floyd Ray Chupp, and Barbara Rasberry and her husband John Rasberry, her parents, and all of her siblings and brothers- and sisters- in law: Beatrice and Joe Mast, Dan Troyer, Henry Troyer, Levi and Catharine Troyer, Clara and Crist Miller, Susan and Alvin Miller, Al and Alma Troyer, Noah and Ina Troyer, Demas Troyer, and William and Edna Troyer.
Memorials may be made to the AVRMC Nursing Care Center for the Activities Dept., in care of Ann Stone, 1200 Carson Ave, La Junta, CO, 81050 or to the Amanda Chupp Scholarship, 325 S. College Dr, PO Box 3000, Hesston, KS, 67062 direct or through the funeral home.
