J.H. Karriker Died Sunday, Services Held

James Henry Karriker, Jr., 65, of Jena, died on Sunday afternoon, June 1, 1980, at the Rapides Parish Hospital.
He was a retired plumber.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena with Rev. Dub Carson, officiating.
Burial followed in the Woodland Cemetery of Jena with arrangements by Hixson Brothers Inc. of Jena.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Odell Karriker of Jena; one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Faye Work [sic Virginia May Wark] of Pineville, a son, James R. Karriker of Santa Rosa, Calif.; a brother John Karriker of El Dorado, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. Esther Parker of Hampton, Ark. And Mrs. Alice Cruse of Lake Village, Ark.; six grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Douglas Keene, Douglass Powell, Robert Crooks, Doc Eubanks, Burl Clark and George King.
