Buford Bibie Stewart was the son of James Henry Stewart and Mary Jane Hannon. The name is spelled Bluford and Buford on different documents. He was known as "Blue".

Buford married Minnie Lee Logston on September 27, 1917.

(According to family information, this was a double wedding. Buford married Minnie Logston and his brother, Robert Joseph Rector Stewart married Minnie A. (Annie) Bedford on the same day.)

In 1920, Buford, age 19, and Minnie, age 18, were living in Montague, Texas. They moved to Oklahoma later in 1920 where their first son, Albert Carl was born on March 16, 1920. and second son, Neuil Harling was born on September 28, 1922. There was also a daughter, Mary Stewart Stephenson.

Buford and Minnie Stewart raised their children and lived the remainder of their lives in Oklahoma. Bluford retired from farming in 1968. They were members of the Main Street Church of Christ in Alex.

Buford Bibie Stewart died at age 72 and is buried in the Alex Cemetery, Grady County, Oklahoma, along with his wife and other family members.
