Funeral Services For Leo Hietter Held Last Thursday

Funeral services for Leo T. Hietter, 64, were held in St. Mary of the Woods church last Thursday morning with Rev. George Wuellener officiating. Burial was in the St. Mary's cemetery. Pallbearers were Don Sloan, Edward Conley, Raymond Oertley, Harry Heinz, Lucius Sheets and Richard Archer.
He was born May 9, 1893, the son of Frank and Bridget Coyle Hietter in Kickapoo, and passed away in St. Francis hospital in Peoria Tuesday, February 4, following a long illness. He was married to Miss Catherine Weese September 6, 1919. They had resided in the Princeville community all their married life until moving to Peoria five months ago.
Surviving are his wife; four sons, Thomas and Earl of Peoria, Leo T. Jr. of Princeville and James stationed with the U. S. Air Force; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Arrowood of East Peoria and Mrs. Rose Kneer of Washington; eight grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. R.O. Weaver of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Mary Brutcher, and Miss Rose Hietter of Peoria, and Sister Teresa in Ohio and Sister Frances Teresa of Conersville, Ind.; and one brother John Hietter of Chicago.
