Leyburn Powell, a former resident (of Johnstown), but a resident of Robesonia, Pa., for the past 23 years, died Sunday in the Reading Hospital.

The deceased is the son of the late E. A. Powell and Mary Reese Powell, and was born in Steelton on Sept. 24, 1882. He is survived by his widow, Maude B. Menoher Powell, and these children--Richard G., Robensonia, and Edward A., stationed in the Army at New Cumberland. He is also survived by three brothers and a sister, Mae, wife of John Slater of Kennedy Ave. Another sister preceded him in death.

The body will be shipped here tomorrow evening, and friends will be received at the John Henderson Co. Funeral Home until 2 p.m. on Thursday, when services will be held, with interment in Grandview Cemetery.
