Talmadge Olen Jones, 73, of Reidsville, died Monday, March 26, 2007, at Savannah Specialty Care, Inc. at Candler/St. Joseph's Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on November 17, 2006.
The Tattnall County native was born December 9, 1933. He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Glennville and was a member of Ezell Masonic Lodge #335 in Claxton. He was the owner/operator of Jones Recycling, Inc. and an entrepreneur.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marilyn Mitchell Jones of Reidsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra J. and John Wingate of Reidsville; sons and daughters-in-law Arnie Talmadge and Renee Jones, Randy "Allen, Sr. and Janet Jones, and Rickey Olen Jones, all of Reidsville; a sister, Elizabeth Jones Brannen of Glennville; a brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Jackie Jones of Reidsville; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 29, at 2 p.m. at First United Pentecostal church in Glennville, with the Rev. James M. Holland officiating. Burial will follow in Watermelon Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
Pallbearers will be members of Rising Sun Masonic Lodge #32 in Reidsville and members of Ezell Masonic Lodge #335 of Claxton.
Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home, Glennville Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
