Mr. Everett Sheffield died at Tupelo Hospital Monday morning, January 1st, at the age of 72 years. He passed away about 4:30 o'clock after a few days illness of pneumonia. He has many friends who had known him through the years, who regret he has gone on. He had resided in the Greenwood community for many years.
He was a member of the Baptist church at Greenwood, and his body now rests in Keys Cemetery among those who were dear to him and who had preceeded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alma Riley Sheffield, two daughters, Miss Shirley Sheffield and Mrs. Erdice Martin of Tupelo; one son, Everett Owen Sheffield, Dorsey; two brothers, Ed and John Sheffield, Dorsey, and one sister, Mrs. Ophelia Loden.
