Matthew "Tim" Annette, 33, of Ponsford, died Thursday, October 23, 2008 at his home, under the care of his loving family.

Matthew Annette, known as Tim, was born to Harold and JoAnn (Croud) Annette on Sept. 18, 1975 in Minneapolis. He was raised and educated from kindergarten through 8th grade at the Pine Point School in Ponsford, and grades 9 through 12 at Park Rapids High School.

In 1997, Tim was diagnosed with cancer and fought a valiant battle. He married Blossom Smith in 2002 at Breck Memorial Episcopal Church in Ponsford. In 2006 he had his left arm amputated, and courageously lost his battle surrounded by his family at his home. Tim loved his children and extended family. He was a loving, caring father and devoted husband. He also enjoyed playing and watching sports, going to the casino, grilling and nice cars.

Survivors include his wife, Blossom of Ponsford; his children, Trulo Adams of Jordan, Minn., and Autumn, Izaak, Antwone, Alexis and Aurora Annette, all at home; his parents, JoAnn Annette and Harold Annette Sr., both of Ponsford; his five brothers and five sisters, Anthony (Becky) of Detroit Lakes, John (Sara) of Ogema, William (Sharon) of Ponsford, Sara (Myron) Annette of Ponsford, Michael (Monica) of Moorhead, Harold Annette, Jr., of Grand Rapids, Minn., Emily Annette of Callaway, Carol (Rick) Smith of Detroit Lakes, Lori (Tom) Gamache of Walker, Minn., and Susan Annette of Minneapolis; his grandmother, Sara Clark of Ponsford; several special aunts and his mother-in-law, Gina Basswood, of Ponsford.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27 at the Old Pine Point School in Ponsford, with the Rev. Doyle Turner and Erma Vizenor officiating. Interment will be in Breck Memorial Episcopal Cemetery, Ponsford.

Friends may call until the time of the service Monday at the Old Pine Point School.
