Josiephine Tilbury, 95, a resident of Good Samaritan Center in Pine River, died Friday, Sept. 30. She was born Nov. 4, 1887, in Benton County, Iowa.
Surviving are three sons, Verl William Tilbury of Naches, Wash., James Silas Tilbury of Twisp, Wash., and Roy of Backus; three daughters, Erma Forseen of Virginia, Minn., Violet Boone of Backus and Lela Tilbury Reynolds of Backus; one brother, Forest Brody of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two sisters, Joan Lahue of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Ida Sawyer of Pine River; 37 grandchildren and 67 great-grandchildren.
Services were held 2 p.m. Monday at the Church of the Nazarene in Backus with the Rev. Terrill Haddix officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Backus.
